Xstream project (2023-)
A new endeavor by Akiko Kitamura, who has created numerous international collaborative works rooted in fieldwork.
The first installment brought together artists from the Philippines and Japan in a stage work that questioned contemporary forms of animism and shamanism. Following its run at Theatre Tram in 2023, the project is scheduled to unfold as a three-year initiative continuing through 2025.
